Sage IQ Academy LMS Policy

Effective Date: January 1 2026
Applies to: All learners, facilitators, mentors, administrators, and authorized users of the Sage IQ Academy Learning Management System.

1. Purpose

The Sage IQ Academy Learning Management System is designed to provide learners with structured access to course materials, assignments, assessments, live-session information, learning resources, announcements, and academic support.

This policy establishes the rules governing access to and use of the LMS and is intended to promote academic integrity, responsible use, effective learning, data protection, and a professional learning environment.

2. User Accounts and Access

Each learner will be provided with, or required to create, a personal LMS account.

LMS accounts are strictly for individual use. Users must not:

  • Share usernames or passwords with another person.
  • Allow another person to complete coursework or assessments using their account.
  • Access another learner’s account without authorization.
  • Attempt to bypass the security or access controls of the LMS.
  • Distribute restricted course content to unauthorized persons.

Learners are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and must notify Sage IQ Academy immediately if they suspect unauthorized access to their account.

3. Course Participation

Learners are expected to actively participate in their assigned courses.

Participation may include:

  • Viewing course materials.
  • Completing lessons and modules.
  • Attending scheduled physical or virtual sessions.
  • Submitting assignments and projects.
  • Completing quizzes and assessments.
  • Participating in discussions, mentorship sessions, and group activities.
  • Completing capstone or practical projects where applicable.

Course progress may be monitored through the LMS.

Sage IQ Academy may use LMS activity records to evaluate participation, engagement, attendance, and eligibility for certification.

4. Attendance and Course Completion

Where a programme includes mandatory sessions, learners must meet the attendance requirements communicated for that programme.

To successfully complete a course, learners may be required to:

  • Complete a specified percentage of LMS modules.
  • Meet the minimum attendance requirement.
  • Submit required assignments.
  • Participate in practical sessions.
  • Complete assessments.
  • Submit a capstone project or final project.
  • Meet the minimum overall performance score.

The specific requirements may vary by programme.

5. Assignments and Submission Deadlines

Assignments must be submitted through the approved LMS channel unless otherwise instructed.

Learners are responsible for submitting coursework before the stated deadline.

Late submissions may:

  • Receive reduced marks.
  • Be rejected.
  • Require approval from the facilitator or programme administrator.

Extensions may be granted where there are reasonable circumstances and the learner communicates the situation before the deadline where possible.

6. Academic Integrity

Sage IQ Academy expects all learners to maintain high standards of academic honesty.

The following are prohibited:

  • Plagiarism.
  • Copying another learner’s work.
  • Submitting work completed by another person.
  • Sharing answers during assessments.
  • Unauthorized collaboration.
  • Manipulating LMS records or assessment results.
  • Using unauthorized materials during examinations.
  • Presenting AI-generated work as entirely personal work where disclosure is required.

Where artificial intelligence tools are permitted, learners must follow the specific instructions provided by their facilitator.

AI tools should support learning and productivity rather than replace independent thinking, analysis, or required practical work.

Academic misconduct may result in cancellation of an assessment, suspension, withholding of certification, or removal from the programme.

7. Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence

Because Sage IQ Academy provides technology-focused training, learners may be encouraged to use AI tools appropriately.

Learners must:

  • Verify information generated by AI systems.
  • Avoid submitting fabricated citations, statistics, or references.
  • Protect confidential information when using third-party AI tools.
  • Acknowledge AI assistance where required.
  • Follow instructions regarding permitted and prohibited AI use for assessments.

AI-generated outputs remain the responsibility of the learner who submits them.

8. Assessment Policy

Assessments may include:

  • Quizzes.
  • Tests.
  • Practical exercises.
  • Assignments.
  • Projects.
  • Presentations.
  • Capstone projects.
  • Final examinations.

Learners must complete assessments personally unless an assessment is specifically designated as a group exercise.

Sage IQ Academy reserves the right to require additional verification where there are reasonable concerns regarding assessment integrity.

9. Certification

A certificate of completion or achievement may be issued only to learners who satisfy the requirements of the relevant programme.

Certification may depend on:

  • Course completion percentage.
  • Attendance.
  • Assessment performance.
  • Assignment submission.
  • Capstone completion.
  • Compliance with programme policies.

Sage IQ Academy reserves the right to withhold certification where a learner has incomplete academic requirements, outstanding disciplinary issues, or verified academic misconduct.

10. Learner Conduct

Users must communicate respectfully with instructors, mentors, staff, and other learners.

The LMS must not be used for:

  • Harassment.
  • Threats.

Unless expressly permitted, learners must not:

  • Reproduce course materials for commercial purposes.

This may include:

  • A computer or suitable mobile device.
  • Internet access.
  • Supported browser software.
  • Relevant software required for the course.

Learners should notify the programme team promptly where technical difficulties significantly affect their participation.

Sage IQ Academy is not responsible for disruptions caused by a learner’s personal device, telecommunications provider, or internet service.

Official programme communication may be sent through:

  • LMS announcements.
  • Registered email addresses.
  • Approved messaging platforms.
  • Course discussion channels.

Learners are responsible for regularly checking these communication channels.

Failure to read an announcement or official communication does not automatically exempt a learner from the requirement communicated.

17. Facilitator Responsibilities

Facilitators using the Sage IQ Academy LMS are expected to:

  • Upload accurate and relevant course materials.
  • Clearly communicate deadlines.
  • Provide reasonable academic guidance.
  • Maintain professional communication.

  • Assessment management.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Compliance.
  • Investigation of suspected misconduct.

Administrative access must be used responsibly and only for legitimate programme purposes.

19. Suspension or Termination of Access

Sage IQ Academy may temporarily suspend or permanently terminate LMS access where a user:

  • Engages in academic misconduct.
  • Violates LMS security.
  • Harasses other users.
  • Misuses learning materials.
  • Provides false information.
  • Attempts to manipulate LMS systems.
  • Seriously or repeatedly violates programme rules.

Where appropriate, the learner may be given an opportunity to respond before final disciplinary action is taken.

20. Refunds and Programme Withdrawal

Any refund, deferment, or withdrawal request will be handled according to the specific enrolment agreement or payment policy applicable to the programme.

Leaving a programme or failing to use the LMS does not automatically entitle a learner to a refund.

21. Complaints and Appeals

Learners who wish to raise a complaint regarding an assessment, facilitator, LMS issue, disciplinary action, or programme matter should use the official Sage IQ Academy complaint or appeal process.

Complaints should be submitted professionally and should include sufficient information for the matter to be reviewed.
