Sage IQ Academy Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Sage IQ Academy’s website, Learning Management System, courses, training programmes, assessments, digital resources, mentorship sessions, and related services.

By registering for, accessing, or using any Sage IQ Academy service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. About Sage IQ Academy

Sage IQ Academy provides professional and technology-focused education, training, mentorship, and skills development programmes.

Programmes may be delivered through:

  • Online learning
  • Physical classes
  • Hybrid training
  • Corporate training
  • Workshops
  • Mentorship
  • Practical projects
  • Assessments
  • Internship or placement support

Sage IQ Academy reserves the right to modify programme structure, delivery format, facilitators, schedules, or learning materials where reasonably necessary.

2. Eligibility

To use Sage IQ Academy services, you must provide accurate registration information and meet any eligibility requirements communicated for the relevant programme.

Where a programme is restricted by age, academic qualification, professional status, sponsorship criteria, or other requirements, applicants must satisfy those conditions before enrolment.

Sage IQ Academy may request reasonable verification of information supplied during registration.

3. Account Registration

Users may be required to create an account to access the Sage IQ Academy Learning Management System.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your account information updated.
  • Protect your password and login credentials.
  • Not share your account with another person.
  • Notify Sage IQ Academy of suspected unauthorized access.

You are responsible for activities carried out through your account unless the unauthorized activity occurred because of a failure on the part of Sage IQ Academy.

4. Course Enrolment

Enrolment is confirmed only after the applicable registration, admission, sponsorship, or payment requirements have been satisfied.

Sage IQ Academy may establish:

  • Minimum entry requirements.
  • Programme capacity limits.
  • Selection criteria.
  • Attendance requirements.
  • Assessment requirements.

Admission into one programme does not guarantee admission into another.

5. Fees and Payment

Where fees apply, learners must pay the amount communicated at the time of enrolment.

Fees may cover, depending on the programme:

  • Assessments.
  • Mentorship.
  • Certification.
  • Practical sessions.

Unless otherwise stated, payments must be made through approved Sage IQ Academy payment channels.

Users should not make payment to personal accounts belonging to staff, facilitators, or third parties unless expressly authorized by Sage IQ Academy.

6. Refunds

Refunds are subject to the specific refund policy applicable to each programme.

Unless otherwise communicated, refunds may not be available after:

  • A programme has commenced.
  • LMS access has been activated.
  • Course materials have been accessed.
  • A substantial portion of the programme has been delivered.

Sage IQ Academy may consider refund requests in exceptional circumstances at its discretion.

Where Sage IQ Academy cancels a programme and does not provide an equivalent alternative, affected learners may be entitled to a refund of eligible fees paid.

7. Programme Schedule and Changes

Sage IQ Academy may change:

  • Venues.
  • Course sequence.
  • Assessment schedules.

Such changes may occur because of operational, technical, academic, or unforeseen circumstances.

8. Learner Responsibilities

Learners are expected to participate actively and professionally.

You agree to:

  • Complete assignments and assessments.
  • Follow course instructions.
  • Meet programme deadlines.
  • Engage respectfully with other learners and facilitators.
  • Use the LMS responsibly.
  • Comply with academic integrity requirements.

Failure to meet course requirements may affect eligibility for certification.

9. Academic Integrity

All work submitted must comply with Sage IQ Academy’s academic integrity requirements.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Plagiarism.
  • Cheating.
  • Impersonation.
  • Unauthorized collaboration.
  • Copying another learner’s work.
  • Manipulating assessment results.
  • Submitting work completed by another person.

Where artificial intelligence tools are permitted, learners remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of submitted work.

Sage IQ Academy may reject, re-assess, or invalidate work affected by academic misconduct.

10. Certification

Certificates are issued only where the learner satisfies the programme requirements.

Requirements may include:

  • Attendance.
  • Course completion.
  • Assignment submission.
  • Assessment performance.
  • Practical participation.
  • Capstone project completion.

Sage IQ Academy may withhold certification where programme requirements have not been met.

Issuance of a certificate does not constitute a guarantee of employment, promotion, admission, business success, or professional licensing.

11. Employment and Placement Support

Some programmes may include career support, internship opportunities, job-readiness support, or employer referrals.

Unless expressly stated in writing, Sage IQ Academy does not guarantee:

  • Employment.
  • Internship placement.
  • Salary level.
  • Promotion.
  • Interview selection.
  • Employment duration.

Any placement outcome may depend on learner performance, employer requirements, labour-market conditions, and other external factors.

12. Intellectual Property

All course materials provided by Sage IQ Academy may include protected intellectual property.

This includes:

  • Videos.
  • Slides.
  • Training manuals.
  • Templates.
  • Assessments.
  • Datasets.
  • Exercises.
  • Graphics.
  • Software demonstrations.
  • Recorded sessions.
  • Course structures.

Users receive a limited, non-transferable right to use such materials for personal educational purposes.

You must not, without written permission:

  • Resell course materials.
  • Reproduce materials commercially.
  • Share restricted materials publicly.
  • Upload course materials to unauthorized platforms.
  • Record protected sessions.
  • Remove branding or ownership information.

13. User-Generated Content

Where learners submit assignments, projects, comments, discussion posts, or other content, they retain ownership of their original work, subject to any programme-specific agreement.

By submitting content through Sage IQ Academy platforms, users grant Sage IQ Academy a limited right to store, review, assess, and process the content for educational and administrative purposes.

Sage IQ Academy will not commercially exploit identifiable learner work without appropriate permission, except where required under a separate agreement.

14. Acceptable Use

Users must not use Sage IQ Academy services to:

  • Harass others.
  • Distribute malware.
  • Attempt unauthorized access.
  • Interfere with the LMS.
  • Commit fraud.
  • Violate applicable laws.
  • Distribute unlawful or harmful material.
  • Scrape or extract protected course content.
  • Use automated systems to manipulate assessments or platform activity.

15. Suspension and Termination

Sage IQ Academy may suspend or terminate access where a user:

  • Seriously breaches these Terms.
  • Engages in academic misconduct.
  • Violates platform security.
  • Harasses other users.
  • Uses fraudulent payment methods.
  • Misuses intellectual property.
  • Disrupts programme delivery.

Where appropriate, users may be given an opportunity to respond before final termination.

16. Privacy

Sage IQ Academy may collect and process personal data necessary to provide its services.

This may include:

  • Name.
  • Email.

  • Academic information.
  • Course activity.
  • Assessment results.
  • Payment records.
  • Attendance.

Use of such services may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.

Sage IQ Academy is not responsible for outages or failures caused entirely by third-party service providers.

18. Technology Requirements

Learners are responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate access to:

  • A compatible device.
  • Internet connectivity.
  • Required software.
  • Supported browsers.
  • Relevant technical tools.

Sage IQ Academy will make reasonable efforts to support learners but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access caused by a user’s device, network provider, or personal technical setup.

19. Service Availability

Sage IQ Academy aims to provide reliable access to its online systems but does not guarantee that the LMS or website will operate without interruption.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of:

  • Maintenance.
  • System upgrades.
  • Cybersecurity measures.
  • Hosting failures.
  • Internet disruptions.
  • Events beyond reasonable control.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sage IQ Academy will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses resulting from the use of its training services.

Sage IQ Academy does not guarantee that course completion will result in any specific professional, financial, academic, or employment outcome.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

21. Indemnity

Users agree to be responsible for losses or claims arising from their unlawful use of the platform, violation of intellectual property rights, fraudulent conduct, or serious breach of these Terms.

22. Force Majeure

Sage IQ Academy will not be liable for failure or delay in delivering services caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Civil disturbances.
  • Epidemics.
  • Power failures.
  • Major telecommunications failures.
  • Industrial actions.
  • Cyber incidents.
  • Other events beyond reasonable control.

23. Complaints

Complaints relating to programmes, assessments, payments, conduct, or platform access should be submitted through the approved Sage IQ Academy communication channel.

Sage IQ Academy will review complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.

24. Changes to These Terms

Sage IQ Academy may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes may be communicated through the website, LMS, email, or other official channel.

Continued use of the service after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

25. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, unless a different governing law is expressly stated in a programme-specific agreement.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably may be referred to a court or other dispute-resolution mechanism with appropriate jurisdiction in Nigeria.
